So I was just informed by a dear friend that my book has been sighted on a piracy site.
Normally, I don’t mind my books being on these sites as long as they are being given to the reader for free.
But this particular site pirates books from authors AND RESELLS THEM!
This is wrong on more than just one level:
- First, it violates copyright in the reselling of material without the author’s permission.
- The reader ends up purchasing an unauthorized copy that might also have viruses, formatting issues – you name it.
Please check out this site and request they remove my book from their database: http://www.ebookscheapest.com/d_157060011_B00B854ZM0.html
Their site states that they negotiate with the publisher for a lower price, BUT THIS IS A LIE!
All of my books are published with my personal label FantaFire Press ,LLC. I DO NOT give this site permission to sell or resell any copy or edition of my book AT ALL – let alone at a lower price!
Please head over there and help me request them to remove the book from their site! And if you’re an author, you might want to check and see if your book is on there as well.
